I've been interviewed and / or mentioned in several articles and videos, and I have appeared on a few podcasts, too. Here are some of the more recent ones.
I appeared on the "Close All Tabs" podcast to talk about our digital footprints and demonstrate some geolocating approaches.
I recently collaborated with Jadrian Wooten from Monday Morning Economist on this piece he wrote about "spatial equilibrium," an economics concept that tries to explain why competing businesses tend to cluster together more than one might expect.
Ok, this podcast is mostly about my friend Kristen, aka notkahnjunior, but I am briefly featured! 🤪 Anyway, it's a a great discussion about "consensual doxing" - check it out!
I recently appeared on "The Jason Show" - A daily entertainment talk show hosted by Jason Matheson - to talk about the silly thing I do in my videos.
In one of my videos, I referenced an article that Tommy McNeill at WRGD wrote about old Family Video stores that had been repurposed by other businesses. Tommy apparently noticed, and wrote this article referencing my video. So here I am, referencing his article that references my video which, in turn, references his earlier article. 🤪 Thanks for the assist, Tommy!
On Jan 17, 2025, I was interviewed as part of this 'Asking for a Trend' segment on Yahoo Finance with Josh Lipton. Creator Nadya Okamoto and I were asked to share our insights on the looming TikTok ban.
I was one of three creators interviewed by Maya Eaglin for NBC News Now about our thoughts on the potential TikTok ban in the US.
I was on ABC's Perspective to talk about online safety. The link above should take you there, but if you have trouble with it, look for the episode titled "Protect Your Vote, Cybersecurity Awareness Month, and Apple Audio Lab" from Oct 25, 2024. My segment is about halfway through the episode.
I was a guest on the Gaytriachs Podcast, and I chatted with David and Gavin about what I do in my videos and why I do it. I also explain why my kids will forever think I'm lying to them about what's for dinner 😅 Check it out - it was a fun conversation! You can find links to their podcast on all the usual platforms here.
I was interviewed by Christian Donlan for Eurogamer, and he wrote this very nice piece based on our chat . The subtitle of the piece is "How TikTok's most intriguing geolocator makes a story out of a game," which I thought was a good summary of what I try to do in my videos!
Naomi Brockwell is the host of NBTV, a channel that teaches people how to reclaim control of their lives in the digital age. Naomi and I had a great conversation about the dangers of oversharing and how people use open source intelligence (OSINT) to connect the dots among the bits of information we leave in our digital wake.
While I would never make the claim that I can "find you anywhere" 😅 I really like the way Maya Eaglin from NBC Stay Tuned told my story.
Neil Delamere and Dave Moore cover an eclectic mix of topics on the "Why Would You Tell Me That?" podcast. They asked me to join them for episode 2 of their fifth season so I could tell them a bit about myself and what I do. You can find links to their podcast on all the usual platforms here.
Trajectory, the official magazine of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation (USGIF), published this article on social media influencers who specialize in GEOINT. I was one of the people interviewed for that piece.
NeedleStack is a podcast for open-source researchers. I appeared on episode S2E48 of the podcast and had a fun conversation with host Jeff Philips and producer Aubrey Byron.
